On
behalf of the P&C Association, welcome to Golden Beach State School.
The role of the P&C at Golden Beach
State School is to be the interface between the school and the parent
community. Our aim is to build a strong school community and help create a vibrant
and engaging learning environment for the students.
The
P&C organise events and activities around the school and raise funds for
resources for the school, including academic resources such as Information
Technology, literacy resources, sporting equipment and musical instruments. The
P&C also works with the school to improve the physical environment for the
students.
As
a parent/carer, there are so many different ways to show your child how much
you value their education at Golden Beach State School. The P&C has always
had a strong focus on community and developing effective partnerships with both
parents and the wider school community. Volunteering at Golden Beach State
School can come in a variety of forms including:
- Becoming
involved in fundraising activities
- Volunteering
in the tuckshop
- Becoming
a member of the P&C Association.
P&C
meetings are held on the second Thursday of each month starting at 6pm. The
dates for each meeting are advertised in the school’s newsletter and also on
the school’s Facebook page. The P&C extends a warm welcome to all new and
existing families of the school and invites you to get involved in one or more
of the many P&C activities.
Once
again, on behalf of the P&C Association welcome to Golden Beach State
School.
